Welcome to the 13 Original Colonies WebQuest!
Hurry! Your expertise is needed immediately. 500 colonists are setting sail from Europe to settle in America, and they will use your class's knowledge of the 13 original colonies to decide where to settle!
You have been assigned one of the 3 colony regions: New England, Southern, or Middle. You will research your region of the colonies, and then you'll compare your results with results from other regions.
For each region you will uncover the hardships that the settlers faced while creating a new life that was accepting of everyone. You will discover the challenges they faced territorial, differences and similarities, religious factors, new opportunities, and slavery issues.
There's a trick! You don't need all of the websites below, and you'll have to look carefully to find the site you need for your region!
